Sunday Lesson

So saturday before work, I printed out the conference talk I was supposed to teach in Relief Society and took it to work to read thru before I had to teach it. Saturday after work, I looked up the scriptures it referenced and wrote them in where they fit.

Sunday after sacrament meeting, My RS Pres. told me that apparently the brother who was supposed to teach the men had prepared the wrong lesson and we were all meeting together. I was surprised by this, but hey if it meant not having to teach then OK. So I sat down in the back of the Chapel, (not quite the corner) and waited, after the introduction, and opening song etc. the counselor asked the branck pres who was teaching and he said, well Bro. Tanner was supposed to teach, but he is on call and came long enough to tell us that he won't be here today, so I guess the RS is teaching, as he turned and looked at the RS Pres. She quickly responded that Sis Wilkinson is teaching today, EVERY eye turned to me . (I was so glad that I had pre read the lesson and even looked up the scriptures).

The lesson went well, Not very many comments, so I finished 15 minutes early. I am not very good at adlibbing , especially in front of both groups, I am getting better when it is the just the RS. But it is still a skill I am not very good at.
When I said that was all, then there were a few more comments, but we were still the first class out.

Bronze Medal School

Just found out our kids school got a bronze medal from US news and world report for being a good School.

We already knew this but its nice to see it recognized as such. They have done a great job at meeting the needs of all of my kids and making them all stretch.

Stormy

There is a storm headed this way, snowing since last night. a couple of inches on the ground(of new snow), Tom and JP got in the car and went as far as the edge of town, turned around and came home, since they could not tell where the road is.
When Tom walked in, he told me I should stay home from what should have been my first day of my new semester.

The kids didn't have seminary this morning, since school was closed both in Mitchell and Emery. Since seminary is on skype, I am not quite sure why they let this stop them, except it means they could go back to bed.

Maybe I can do some of that baking I've been in the mood to do, HMMMM

Eyeball

When we moved to South Dakota, Our daughter Carolyn started going by the name Carie.

Today while I was fixing dinner, Mikey asked me, "Mom , when I get to Carie's age, can I change my name?"

Mom..."What would you change your name to?"

Mikey..."Eyeball"

I told him no.
