I have experienced two wonderful new foods while in South Dakota and want to share them with you:
Burrito Smores:
Small tortillas
Peanut butter I used creamy, but I think crunchy would be good too.
Mini Marshmellows
Chocolate Chips/ m&m/s work too.
coals
spread some p.b. on the smore- down the middle or half or cover the whole thing, how much p.b. do you like. sprinkle on a hand ful of marshmellows then some choc.
wrap up like a burrito and then wrap in foil. place on coals for 2-3 minutes(not too long or it will burn). Open and eat.
Walking Tacos.: I found this one at the ball park
scissors
A snack size bag of chips, the ball park uses nacho dorritos, at home we also use cool ranch dorritos or fritos.
Taco meat
Cheese
Lettuce
Tomato
Sour Cream
salsa
In your hand smush the chips so that it feels like more bite size bits, turn on side and cut off the side 1/4" of bag, add meat cheese and what ever other toppings you like. serve with a fork. I think an adult serving is two. but this is really good.
Technology: Failing To Live In the Moment
-
I love technology… One of the most tragic and understated negative effects
of technology, however, is the way it interferes with our presence in the
world....

Those sound fun. I think I'll try the walking tacos, it seems like they would be great for camp outs.

We had the walking tacos, but called them dirty tacos, short for dorito tacos.
My big boys said I was "ghetto" but they liked them.
